Wonderfully popular quality pink sapphires are becoming increasingly more difficult to find particularly those over 1.50 carats. A beautiful Tanzanian oval brilliant cut pink sapphire is elegantly presented in a heavy four prong platinum basket setting. The setting is low, allows ample light to flow around the sapphire for top brilliance and is heavy for added durabilty.

The sapphire weighs 1.55 carats, measures 8.0 X 6.11 X 3.6 mm, has eye-clean clarity (with loupe 10X you will see numerous rutile needles and silk and these microscopic items also appear in some of the photos) and a rich pink to violet color. The color saturation is ideal and both pink and violet are equally displayed with neither being a secondary hue. Please note that your eye will see a slightly pinker color than what is shown in the photos.

Bright pink, raspberry and purple to violet flashes dance from within the stone which has an excellent oval brilliant cut. Accompanying the sapphire is 0.75 carats total diamond weight. Fancy tapered baguette cut diamonds are gracefully channel set across the ring's shoulders. The diamonds are high quality VS1 clarity and F color. This ring is heavy and was made with 8.6 grams of platinum. The ring is a size 71/2 (please request resizing on your order form).
