This top GIA color rated B5 cushion cut tanzanite elicits the prized and dreamy rich combination of dark blue and purple hues and the occasional bright pinkish red flash. Truly trichroic displays of these three colors are indicative of the finest tanzanite material (pink flashes can be observed in the close-up photos provided with the most notable being towards the bottom of the tanzanite). Photos reveal the color shift from electric bright periwinkle/blue to a deeper rich blue/purple color. This large 9.0 mm cushion cut stone dangles elegantly in a four prong basket allowing maximum light exposure for top brilliance. With loupe clean clarity and a precision cushion cut the tanzanite displays stunning brilliance with bright purple, blue and pink flashes being cast from within. The pendant is best used with a sturdy, thick and wide chain such as an omega or byzantine. Special gold work and pave diamond setting lend to an antique style and compliment the tanzanite which has been turned to a diamond position. Approximately 3.50 grams of 14K white gold was used to make the pendant which dangles 25 mm or 1" in length and is 22 mm or 4/5" wide. Twelve ideal cut round brilliant diamonds adorn the bail in elegant pave settings and are 0.12 carats total weight. These very fine quality diamonds are VS1 FG quality with bright white color, excellent brilliance and top clarity.
