Tanzanite (Block D Quality) Diamond Earrings 14KW 5.06 ctw (971TZE)
|
This premium quality pair of oval Portuguese cut tanzanite were purchased close to five years ago and offer the coveted rich blue Block D color. Their color is primary rich blue with secondary purple as noted under natural or day light conditions. Strong trichroic characteristics in tanzanite are only observed in the finest material and include both the rich blue and purple hues and bright pink flashes as noted in this fine Block D pair. The pair are extremely well matched, measure 9 X 7 mm each, weigh 4.32 carats total, are eye-clean and present with unbelievable top brilliance. The Portuguese cuts elicit vibrant rich blue to deep purple sparks with the occasional pink flash noted at varied angles under certain lighting conditions. Mounted in heavy 14K white gold fixed lever back earrings the pair are very comfortable to wear and have secure and durable backs with heavy tension springs to reduce risk of loss. The earrings weigh 8.5 grams of gold and include 48 round brilliant cut diamonds for 0.74 carats total diamond weight. The diamonds are SI1 G quality and are prong set around the tanzanite pair and along the top portion of the lever backs. The pair dangles 22 mm or 7/8". (Although also available in platinum the earrings would weigh a hefty 18 grams and probably prove to be uncomfortable for many. So the pair was made in 14K white gold.) This custom one of a kind piece was designed by Jill Underhill of Color Symphony (http://www.colorsymphony.com) and will be shipped directly from their location in New Hampshire. FREE SHIPPING is included in the price.
