Care of a Blue Sapphire

Sapphire is a very hard and durable gemstone. It ranks a 9 on the Moh's scale of hardness with only diamond being a 10. Sapphires can be cleaned using an ultrasonic cleaning machine, or more preferably just soap and warm water using a soft brush.Be sure to rinse and dry your jewelry thoroughly after cleaning.
