Text book top of the line gorgeous purple color, velvet-like luster and superb tone classify this rich purple sapphire as one of the finest. The sapphire weighs 1.70 carats, is of Madagascan origin, measures 7.15 X 5.62 mm and is dealer rated VVS for its excellent loupe clean clarity. A traditional three stone setting elegantly displays the center oval sapphire in a platinum basket with two gorgeous trilliant cut diamonds on either side. These diamonds are set in raised cathedral sides so that all three stones reflect brilliance at a similar angle and achieve maximum symmetry and visual appeal. The diamonds are bright, white, clean, have top brilliance and are rated SI3 HI quality. In total the ring has 0.50 carats total weight in diamonds and weighs a substantial 7+ grams of 950 platinum.
