This very high quality Mozambique Paraiba tourmaline exhibits paramount TOP neon blue/green color with an excellent combination of electric pool blue and neon teal hues. Certified as containing both copper and manganese this large 4.42 carat oval brilliant cut tourmaline measures 12.03 X 8.85 X 6.54 mm and is prong set in a heavy platinum four prong basket for maximum light exposure and secure setting. Using a 20X stereo microscope or 10X jeweler's loupe copper veins, feather like inclusions and numerous microscopic colorless pin pricks are noted. These remain virtually undetected to the unaided eye with only a few visible upon very close inspection when looking up into the stone's belly. Face up the stone is essentially eye-clean. Gorgeous flashes of teal, blue and green are evident from every angle which is the result of a precision brilliant cut void of windowing (shallow cuts with few facets leave an opening in the stone's center) or dark/shadowing areas. Set in a gorgeous platinum ring mounting this Mozambique Paraiba is elegantly complimented by 0.75 carats of high quality tapered diamond baguettes that are VS1 FG grades (GIA standard diamond grading scale).
