This spectacular VERY HIGH quality golden Ceylon sapphire is certified by the prestigious American Gem Trade Association (AGTA) as being a natural sapphire and was further LIBS tested to verify that there have been no treatments such as beryllium infusion which provide temporary coloring to a sapphire and are not considered natural. A rare combination of expert faceting, top of the line color and clarity form the perfect union with this 3.316 carat golden sapphire. A blending of the richest orange and yellow hues produce this incredible honey gold color that is further enhanced by the sapphire's phenomenal luster. The stone's color is even throughout and void of shading or color zoning. The fancy radiant octagon cut delivers top brilliance as evident in the photos and the stone is completely void of dark areas or windows resulting from poor faceting work. This is simply one of the finest golden sapphires one could add to their collection. I had this stone in stock for a few years as I labored over a design that would suit the elegance and beauty of this incredible sapphire. A substantial 10+ grams of 950 cobalt platinum was used to make this one of a kind ring that features 0.88 carats total weight in diamonds. The platinum ring's shoulders are lined with round brilliant and princess cut diamonds. The princess cuts compliment the fancy scissor octagon cut sported by the sapphire and elicit the same criss cross brilliant effect. Prong set round brilliant diamonds outline the channel set princess diamonds and all are recessed and set flush with the ring's shoulders for added ease of wear, loss prevention and an overall stream lined elegant design.
