Yellow or golden sapphires have been plagued by a variety of gemstone treatments which temporarily enhance their color. LIBS testing determines whether a sapphire has been chemically treated otherwise known as beryllium diffusion which alters the sapphire's color temporarily and is not considered natural. This sapphire was LIBS tested at the prestigious AGTA laboratory. Showcased is a TOP grade pair of golden yellow cushion cut Ceylon sapphires weighing 2.43 carats total. The pair elicits that premium rich honey gold color that only the finest stones have. The color is at optimal saturation and even throughout the stones. Beautiful cushion cuts lend to a soft glowing brilliance filled with flashes of gold and yellow. The pair has excellent clarity and is prong set in Art Deco Period styled earring mounts made of 18K white gold. The earrings have round brilliant accenting diamonds that are 0.16 carats total weight and are bright, white and brilliant and eye-clean (SI1 GH grades).
