Displaying rich pink color with lovely tone, luster and saturation is this large 2.50 carat Ceylon pink sapphire. Nice quality pink sapphires over 2.0 carats such as this one have become increasingly difficult to find in the past year due to decreasing mine production in Ceylon and Madagascar. The sapphire elicits a primary rich pink to violet color and has some pretty red to raspberry flashes. Under a loupe silk and colorless inclusions are noted but these remain unseen to the naked eye. Sporting a lovely cushion cut the sapphire is prong set between channel set diamond baguettes that roll across the ring's shoulders and are 0.30 carats total weight. The diamonds have an excellent clarity grade of VS2 and color grade of GH. They are bright, white, eye-clean and brilliant. This beautiful platinum ring weighs approximately 6 grams and is a size 71/4 (re-sizing available).
