Utterly enchanting and breath-taking is this pink to raspberry color designer faceted Burmese spinel. Everything comes together for this gorgeous stone. Custom fancy concave faceting results in breath-taking pink and red brilliance. Rich color, an excellent cut and dreamy tone and luster truly make this spinel one of the finest. The stone faces up eye-clean. Under specific lighting conditions at side angles and upon very close inspection a small colorless feather can be noted. Under 10X some fine pin pricks, rutile needles and feathers are revealed. The spinel is elegantly showcased in a four prong basket setting made of 18K yellow gold and is mounted to a heavy 950 cobalt platinum ring with 18K yellow gold scroll work in the under gallery. The ring's shoulders house a pair of fine quality round brilliant diamonds that are gypsy set amidst the finest vintage detailing including hand engraving, beading, milgrain and scroll designs. The diamonds are VS2 clarity and G color (bright, white, brilliant and eye-clean). A total of 6.8 grams of platinum and 18K yellow gold was used to make this ring that is a size 51/2.
