The sapphire weighs 1.43 carats, measures 7.43 X 5.5 mm and is set in a four prong heavy platinum basket that is mounted to a 14K white gold ring. The sapphire elicits an excellent rich and vibrant purple color what displays both rich purple and violet hues. A variety of colors flash throughout the stone's bright brilliance including purple, violet and rose. Complementing the rich purple color is 0.27 carats total weight in fine quality round brilliant diamonds. The diamonds are bright, white, brilliant, eye-clean and are prong set along the ring's shoulders.
