This is an exceptional sapphire being offered at an incredible price. The sapphire displays some color zoning with the ends of the oval having slightly higher color saturation than the middle and was offered at a discounted price. This large oval brilliant Ceylon sapphire weighs 3.20 carats, measures 9.11 X 6.91 mm, has excellent near loupe clean clarity, a superb brilliant cut and simply the best brilliance! The color is classic cornflower Ceylon blue and as previously noted there is some color zoning with more saturation in the sapphire's ends which varies in appearance under varied lighting conditions (many conditions the color zoning is difficult to detect). The photos were taken with natural lighting when the zoning is less apparent (halogen lighting causes the most zoning). Surrounding this bright blue sapphire is 0.60 carats total weight of micro pave set round brilliant diamonds that are bright, white, eye-clean and have excellent brilliance. The diamonds are rated SI1 H quality and the ring is made with 6.5 grams of 14K white gold. It is a size 6 1/2 (re-sizing available).
