A vibrant rich cornflower blue Ceylon sapphire takes center stage in this elegant diamond necklace that features 0.70 carats total weight in fine quality diamond baguettes and round brilliants. Surrounding the oval brilliant sapphire in a fan-like setting are diamond baguettes which are joined by several rows of channel set round brilliant diamonds. The diamonds are SI2 HI rated, eye-clean, bright, white and wonderfully brilliant. Rich blue color radiates from this fine quality blue sapphire that sports a superb oval brilliant cut, eye-clean clarity and has gorgeous bright blue brilliance. The sapphire weighs 2.24 carats, has excellent luster and tone and top of the line color with an ideal saturation level noted throughout most of the stone (there is extremely light zoning toward the sides and only when viewed at side angles otherwise the sapphire faces up perfectly). A substantial 15 grams of 14K white gold was used to make the necklace including the solid wheat chain. The diamond and sapphire component of the necklace measures 60 mm or 21/3 and the necklace has an over length of 226 mm or 18.
