Eye clean in clarity with an excellent brilliance on this stunning sapphire. That stunning lotus blossum color is the signature of this sapphire. You see many sapphires with the name padparadscha but very few actually deserve that title. A padpardscha is an equal blend of pink and orange. Not yellow and orange, or red and orange, just pink and orange. A true padpardscha only comes from one place Sri Lanka. It's a fine standard very few can actually be. Its funny how over the years we've seen more and more called "padparadsha" but fewer and fewer actually around. If in doubt ask the seller for an independent report from a reputable third party lab. Some retailers certify their own material (which is not considered a good practice for the obvious conflict of interest reasons). If a report is issued by the same company selling you the product, red flags should go up. An independent lab report is about $200 and worth every penny. This way there is no question what you are purchasing. Insist upon it when making a large purchase, you'll never regret it.
