Ceylon Trilliant Maroon/Purple Color Change Sapphire 1 carat 6x6mm (MAROONT6)

This is one of those surprise sapphires that I love to find. When I first cam across the stone, it really stood out because of its color which was a cross between maroon and raspberry red. Strange part was when the studio light were on it, it turns a rich purple with no red showing. Sharp and unusual sapphire. Clarity is eye clean (Type 2 VS).
