This stone is called Kin Bo Sian star ruby from Burma. This type of star ruby display a mixture of contrasting colors of red and white sometimes steel grey. The color patterns are unique to each stone and individualizing it. A very popular gem in Asia, especially in Indonesia, Thailand, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore. Also referred to as Kin Bo Sian which translates in Chinese as meaning forever abundant, always endless riches.
