Increasingly popular is the rich emerald green color tsavorite that many emerald fans have learn to admire due to the stone's spectacular brilliance, clarity and significantly greater durability. Tsavorites are naturally untreated and they are easier to facet so they are available in a greater variety of fancy and brilliant cuts. Stones in excess of 1.50 carats are difficult to find particularly those with top emerald like rich green color as displayed by the stone in this designer ring.

Center set in a heavy four prong platinum basket setting is an outstanding vivid green tsavorite that weighs 3.02 carats, sports an elegant and sleek emerald step cut with custom cut corners and has top rated luster and tone. Typical of tsavorite there is a bubble veil noted about 2/3 down the stone. Upon extremely close inspection (inches from eye) or under strong natural lighting conditions the veil and one pin head size bubble is detectable with the naked eye although with normal conditions it is quite difficult to detect due to the stone's rich color and outstanding brilliance which nearly masks the veil's presence particularly when the tsavorite is face-up. Technically 9 out of 10 would classify it as eye-clean.

Complimenting the outstanding rich green color are top quality and rated (VS2 G) round brilliant and baguette cut diamonds. The ring has a substantial diamond weight of 0.81 carats and equally impressive 18 K white gold weight of over 8 grams. This is a spectacular designer piece of jewelry with a gorgeous tsavorite!
