Description

Upon occasion you happen upon the rare sapphire that has it all. This 2.02 carat AGL (American Gemological Laboratory) certified exceptional natural heated Kanchanaburi blue sapphire is that stone. Displaying text book rich cornflower blue color the sapphire is a rare beauty with top of the line velvet like luster, color that is at the optimal saturation level for sapphires (about 85%) and is even throughout the stone (void of color zoning and or banding). Excellent clarity and a superb oval brilliant cut (8.6 X 6.6 X 4.2 mm) allow each facet to return maximum light for superb brilliance filled with long beams of cobalt blue brilliance. Set low in a six prong basket the sapphire is afforded ample lighting from all directions to showcase its brilliance. The low setting protects the stone and facilitates ease of wear. A traditional and romantic styled platinum ring mounting features channel set baguette cut diamonds that line the ring's shoulders and elegantly loop inwards to the blue sapphire. There are two round brilliant diamonds set within each of the baguette diamond loops for added elegance. The diamonds are 0.58 carats total weight and VS2 clarity FG color. The ring weighs a substantial 8.0 grams and is a size 7 (resizing upon request).
