Description

Inspired by the classic Art Deco Period this elegant necklace begins with a vintage inspired and scroll detailed box clasp (typically used with a string of pearls) and box chain. The necklace trim is comprised of round brilliant pink sapphires and diamonds and a fine quality untreated Ceylon pear cut pink sapphire. Certified by the Global Gem Testing Laboratory in Bangkok as natural and unheated the rich pink sapphire displays ideally saturated pure pink color that is even throughout the stone and is a strong primary pure pink with subtle raspberry hue. The sapphire is 2.42 carats, dealer rated VVS clarity (very clean even with jeweler's loupe at 10X) measures 8.78 X 7.20 X 5.16 mm, has an excellent pear brilliant cut (no window) and phenomenal vivid pink brilliance. Elegant swirls and scrolls of gold loop around five round brilliant pink sapphires and three diamonds. The round pink sapphires are prong set and 0.70 carats total weight and were selected for their fine color, clarity, cuts and brilliance. The three bezel set diamonds include a pair of 3.0 mm and one 4.5 mm rounds that are 0.60 carats total diamond weight and VS2 G quality. The necklace weighs approximately 14 grams of 18K white gold and is 21" in length. The chain trim, area housing the diamonds and gemstones, measures 83 mm or 31/4" in length. Please note this necklace has added length so that it may be customized (shortened) to your specifications. This magnificent piece is offered by Jill Underhill of Color Symphony (http://www.colorsymphony.com) and will be shipped directly from their location in New Hampshire.
