Description

It is exciting to find large fine quality yellow sapphires and this beautiful and vibrant colored sapphire weighs in at 4.23 ct and measures 10.0 X 7.5 X 5.0 mm. Some color shift is apparent under varied lighting conditions which I tried to show in the photos. Daylight and in the sunshine the fancy octagon scissor faceted sapphire is a pure bright lemon yellow and in evening light or most artificial light it takes on a golden appearance with vibrant honey to earth-tone orange flashes. The sapphire has excellent clarity, is certified as being a natural sapphire (no diffusion, beryllium or other unstable treatments) and is prong set in a trellis mounting with a pair of emerald cut diamonds. These emerald cut diamonds are 0.30 carats total weight and join six princess cut diamonds that are elegantly channel set along the ring's shoulders. In total the ring has 0.60 carats of high rated SI1 and E color (top color). The ring is made with 18K white gold, weighs 5.4 grams and is a size 6 1/2 (resizing available).
