Spinel is an internationally sought gemstone although U.S. consumers are more recently discovering its beauty (as sources of pink sapphire become depleted). The most prized and highly valued spinel stones are those that are pink or red in color and present similarly to a ruby.
This elegant traditional styled ring features a lovely oval brilliant/flower cut pink spinel that weighs 1.98 carats and measures 8.8 X 6.4 mm. The color is a strong primary pink with secondary red to peach hues.
Great clarity and cutting result in beautiful electric sparks of pink and red brilliance. The spinel is prong set and joins 0.36 carats total weight in pave set round brilliant diamonds (SI1 G grades). This elegant ring incorporates finely detailed milgrain edges to lend a vintage inspired design.
